2011:  Gas prices feature story for KBMT-12 news, Did an interview with Mollie O'Brien of KBMT-12 News in Beaumont about the decline in oil and gasoline prices. Explained to her what other factors affect gasoline prices and how economic conditions affect oil prices. Discussed current conditions in the stock market and economic conditions in the US, Europe, and China.

Other Community Service Activities
2011:  Junior Achievement of the Golden Triangle Finance Park, Spent a day working with high school freshmen on a comprehensive personal finance and budgeting case study at Memorial High School in Port Arthur. Other volunteers were mostly from ExxonMobil and Valero Energy so it was also a good networking and public relations opportunity for Lamar. Event held on 4/29/2011, 8am-3pm.

  • 2012: Neuhauser, K., Invited Speaker for the Bisk Monthly Financial Planning Report.  Invited guest for Bisk Monthly Audio Financial Planning Report, which is a monthly subscription service that disseminates information and results in CPE credit for CPAs at smaller firms.  The one-hour recorded audio interview was prompted by my article that appeared in the Journal of Financial Planning and covered the topic of Long-term Care Insurance.
