International Students

For general university requirements, including score requirements for English language proficiency, please visit the International Graduate Information page.

You must have an official report of course-by-course evaluated transcripts of all post-secondary work sent to Lamar University directly from one of the evaluating agencies listed in the previous link.  (Beginning Spring 2016: Graduate students who enroll at Lamar University will be reimbursed the cost of the evaluation up to $200.00).  Lamar University does not evaluate transcripts internally, so you do not need to send official transcripts to our office.  These agencies may deliver your evaluation by email at LUAdmTran@Lamar.edu, or to the mailing address listed below.

Admission Requirements

Our formula for determining admission takes into account your undergraduate GPA and your score on the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test).

(GPA x 200) + GMAT score = 1,050

Admission can also be determined based on your GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.  Points from the formula above using the GPA for the last 60 hours of coursework would need to equal or exceed 1,100.
